Retractable Security Screens with major storage space advantages

ATDC’s heavy duty retractable security screens fold back sideways when unlocked and opened and are able to pivot 90 degrees away from the leaseline when in their stacked position.

The doors rotate in their stacked position at right angles to the opening on a carefully engineered  self supporting steel frame which enables this pivoting action and thereby reducing  the side storage stacking space  to virtually nothing.

The pics show a recently completed installation of six (6) of these door systems for the NSW department of Education at Condell Park High School.Specified by ShakeUp Architecture and project managed by Sydney based, Neo-Way Pty Ltd.

Smart Concertina Doors Secure Sydney’s Iconic Central Railway Station

ATDC has just completed an impressive installation of its steel concertina doors to the Eddy Avenue entrance and side entry (northern concourse)  of this heritage listed landmark property.

Central Station is Australia’s largest train station both in size and passenger numbers and is an integral transport interchange for Sydney’s light rail, commuter trains and bus services.

ATDC installed these concertina doors in a  side-by-side tandem overhead tracking configuration which minimized the storage depth of these  doors to only 8% of the overall spans being secured.Lock up has been achieved through a series of intermediate up/down locking mechanisms which offer  seamless lock up without the need to lock on to any of the walls of the railway stations and without the need for any floor tracking.

The doors were specified by well renowned architectual firm Woods Bagot. Project managers for the installation was  international engineering and construction company Laing O’Rourke.

All installation works were carried out between 10pm and 4am over three consecutive nights by ATDC’s skilled installation crews .

ATDC’s innovative S07-1 security door is both innovative and unique.

The door not only folds back sideways and stacks to just 15% of the opening width that it secures but it also then pivots out of the way so as to stack 90 degrees to the opening. This dual action pivot mechanism achieves maximum space efficiency in the storage area  and the opening is left almost completely unobstructed.

Pictured above is a recent installation  completed at  Concord High School as part of the Toilet Area Upgrade project on behalf of the NSW Dept of Education and specified by Sydney based ShakeUp Architecure.
