The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) recently installed multiple extendable gates throughout Westfield Fountain Gate, Australia’s second-largest shopping centre, located in Narre Warren in Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs.
ATDC’s Security Installation at Westfield Fountain Gate
Project Management and Purpose of Installation
The project was managed by Daicor Commercial Property Services Pty Ltd, based in Malvern, Victoria. These gates were installed as access control devices and effective loss prevention tools across various areas, including multiple tenancies, the food court, and entry and exit points for the centre’s travelators.
Growing Demand Across Major Shopping Centres
This installation follows a trend across many Westfield sites in Australia and among other leading shopping centre groups, including those managed or owned by LendLease, Stocklands, AMP, Colonial First State, QIC, and Vicinity Centres. ATDC’s extendable gates are increasingly sought after for their reliability and quality.
Reasons for ATDC’s Premier Position in Extendable Gates
ATDC has become Australia’s premier supplier of high-grade extendable gates for several important reasons:
1 Safety and Compliance
Many ATDC gates are OH+S tested to ensure safe operation and public safety. They come with a documented WHS Risk Assessment.
2 Australian Standards Testing
The gates comply with Australian Standards for Dynamic Impact, Simulated Climbing, and Foothold Aperture, which is critical for government applications. Read more.
3 Emergency Egress Compliance
Where required, the gates comply with the Building Code of Australia’s emergency egress provisions for keyless exit.
4 Durability and Quality Components
ATDC uses only high-quality components. Non-pivoting rivets promote longevity, and the heavy-duty, non-marking thermoplastic compound wheels ensure durability. All products carry a 12-month warranty against defective parts and materials.
National and International Availability
ATDC’s extendable gates are available in major Australian cities, including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Canberra, as well as in regional towns like Newcastle, Geelong, Darwin, Townsville, Hobart, the Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast. They are also exported internationally throughout Southeast Asia, the Asia Pacific, the UAE, and the Pacific Islands.
