ATDC has completed a major installation of its commercial folding closures to secure the new storefront at Sacca’s Fine Foods at Blackburn Square in Victoria, near Melbourne.
This eye catching installation literally takes your breath away. Finished in a gloss black satin powdercoat, the system spans a whopping 54 metres at its full extent and is suspended from an overhead support structure at a height of 3600mm. The door is configured from 300mm wide panel sections suspended with industrial grade support carriages from a heavy duty extruded aluminium top track; it has three S-configured bends and 2 x special radius curves as it follows the shaped contours of this aperture.

Large-Scale Installation
Spanning an impressive opening of 11 metres wide by 4 metres in height, this 300mm wide panel folding door operates from a heavy-duty extruded top track. The top track is suspended from an overhead support beam, providing the necessary stability and durability for such a large installation. This robust construction ensures the door operates smoothly and reliably, catering to the high traffic and demanding conditions of a retail environment.
Seamless Lock-Up with Intermediate Locks
The folding door provides a seamless lock-up solution with a series of intermediate up/down locks. This design ensures that the premises can be securely closed off when needed while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The intermediate locks add an extra layer of security, preventing unauthorised access and ensuring the safety of the store’s merchandise.
Flexible Panel Options and Radius Turn
ATDC’s folding door system is also available in 200mm and 150mm wide slimline panel options, offering flexibility to meet various design and functional requirements. Additionally, the system can traverse a 600mm radius turn, making it suitable for a variety of architectural layouts and ensuring it can be customised to fit different storefront configurations.
Security That Works

The S03™ and S06™ trellis doors passed this test by withstanding a force of 450N being applied to its locking style. i.e. the same effect as an intruder attempting to lever open our 3-point locking system.
The S03™ and S06™ trellis doors passed this test by withstanding a repeated impact force of 100 joules from a 40kg lead ball i.e. the same effect as an intruder attempting to kick his way through the security door.
