What Security Did the School Require?

The school administrators selected ATDC’s polycarbonate infilled doors for a number of reasons including the fact they allow light to pass through the translucent materials and they also protect the school from the outside elements to a large degree. This is why ATDC created bespoke doors to fit the school’s requirements, giving them the ideal security solution to protect classrooms from the elements, from crime, and even from kids themselves who are up to no good!

 

Ideal for School Applications and Aesthetics

An additional attraction is the ability to lock the closures in the open position through the use of its seamless up/down locking mechanisms and in this way prevent the students from moving the doors.

Other infill options for these sideway stacking accordion doors include a ventilated perforated mesh infill or even a solid aluminium sheeting infill. Powdercoated finishes are available in the Dulux Australia powdercoat range.

Commercial Folding Closures now with Emergency Egress Facility

The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) recently installed its premium grade 300mm panel folding closure door to secure the storefront of Glue Store at Charlestown. The commercial folding closure was fitted with an emergency egress facility.

Who are Glue Store?

Glue Store is a national Australian retailer selling well known clothing, footwear and accessories from international and local brands such as Stussy, Nike, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Champion and many more.

 

What did we use for this project?

Powdercoated black and installed with a heavy duty extruded top track attached directly to structural supports above, the door included an emergency breakout door for egress compliance with the BCA.

This was required as the closure had been installed in an entry designated for emergency exit. The breakout door operates with a lever handle from the inside of the premises which allows for quick keyless egress. The breakout door hinges outwards on activation of the lever handle.

STYLISH SLIMLINE FOLDING DOOR SECURES RAG’S NEW CONNOR STORE AT BUNDABERG

The Australian Trellis Door Co (ATDC) has installed its 200mm slimline panel commercial folding collapsible doors to The Retail Apparel Group’s (RAG) latest store opening at Connor in Bundaberg, Queensland.

Doors for Wide Entries

The two openings secured on this project each spanned in excess of 8500mm wide, which is well within the slimline folding door’s capabilities. The maximum span for these doors is unlimited since ATDC uses an innovative system of intermediate up/down locking mechanisms along the entire width of the door for a seamless lock up effect.

The maximum height is 4500mm. Plus. no floor track is required to secure these apertures.

ATDC has been selected as one of just three national preferred door closure suppliers for the RAG rollout. RAG is one of Australia’s most successful menswear retailers and specialises in smart casual menswear.

Its successful brands include Tarocash, YD, Connor, and Johnny Bigg.

It has recently moved into the women’s active wear market through its acquisition of Rockwear.

Project managers on this job were LSC Shopfitting based in Burleigh Heads, QLD. ATDC will be working with RAG on further stores across Australia.
