PERFORATED FOLDING CLOSURES SECURE MELBOURNE UNIVERSITY’S SOUTHBANK LIBRARY

The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has installed  high quality  perforated folding closures to secure the entry to  Melbourne University’s Southbank Library at their St Kilda Road campus.

The specifying architect on the project was Lyons Architects based in Bourke St, Melbourne and the project managers were the APM Group who are based in  Exhibition Street,Melbourne.

The doors on this project have  some unique features:The perforated mesh infills  provided the ventilation and airflow  that the project architects required;the doors  have two 45 degree bends which were required to traverse the curved apertures; and these doors have sequential and intermediate up/down locks to achieve a seamless lock up effect without the need for any floor track.

SMART FOLDING CLOSURE DOORS SECURE RETAIL PREMISES AT GEELONG UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

The Australian Trellis Door Company’s ( ATDC) smart folding closure doors were recently installed to secure the new retail premises of a gift shop at Geelong University Hospital’s recent upgrade of its Bellerine Centre.

The architects on the project were  Baade Harbour Australia Pty Ltd (BHA) and the project managers were  Geelong based St Ferrer Building Contractors.

ATDC’s FC1 300mm wide panel  folding closure door was the product specified by BHA.The door was specified with natural anodised aluminium extruded frames  and  polycarbonate infills to provide maximum through vision.Seamless lock up is achieved by the inclusion of intermediate up/down locking mechanisms and the door traverses a very tight radius 90 degree turn at one end  as it  folds back and retracts to a joinery storage cupboard at one end of the premises.For further technical information visit ATDC’s website at https://www.trellisdoors.com.au/products/commercial-security/folding-doors-and-shop-doors .

Smart Folding Doors Rev up Ferrari Showroom

The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has recently installed its high end folding doors at the Ferrari Showroom at Star City Casino, Sydney.

 The job description was essentially to protect the high value merchandise with  a smart,elegant,corporate looking folding door system which would complement the prestigious Ferrari brand image without costing a fortune.

The technical requirements demanded a closure that could span a multi-curved 44 metre wide retail frontage at 3m in height which folded back to occupy a minimum amount of storage space when unlocked and opened during trading hours. And further to provide maximum visual display of the Ferraris during the limited times the shop remains closed.
