ATDC’s Aluminium Folding Doors: Ideal for Commercial Applications
Lightweight and Easy to Operate
These folding doors are very light and easy to operate. They run off heavy-duty industrial top wheel hangers with metal bearings and are suspended from a heavy-duty extruded top track, which is affixed directly to a structural top support beam above it. This ensures smooth and effortless operation, making them convenient for daily use in busy office environments.
Versatile Design Options
ATDC’s quality folding doors are available in a wide body or slimline panel option, catering to different aesthetic and functional requirements. They can either have a clear polycarbonate infill or a perforated mesh infill, depending on the need for visibility or ventilation. These doors are available in either a natural anodised or powder-coated finish, ensuring they can blend seamlessly with any office decor. A seamless lockup is achieved through a series of intermediate up/down locking mechanisms.
Space-Saving and Neat Storage
One of the key features of these folding doors is their ability to fold sideways out of sight when not in use. They slide back to a very neat and compact storage size, ensuring they do not obstruct any space when open. This makes them highly practical for environments where space is at a premium.

The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has recently installed folding doors for security at The Australian National University’s Hancock Library in Canberra.
Specified by The Mill Design Company ,the project involved the installation of ATDC’s wide panel 300mm folding door in a black powdercoated finish.Unique to this project was the special radius curved aperture as well as the specification requiring the top half of the door to have a perforated mesh infill for ventilation whilst the bottom half had a polycarbonate infill.Like so many of ATDC’s projects the company had to deal with the challenge of sloping floors. Here again the adjustability in the throw of ATDC’s down locking mechanisms assisted in achieving seamless lock up for the customer. For further technical information on these doors visit https://www.trellisdoors.com.au/products/commercial-security/folding-doors-and-shop-doors
Project managers for the job were Boss Projects Group out of Kingston in the ACT.

The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has recently installed its high end folding doors at the Ferrari Showroom at Star City Casino, Sydney.
The job description was essentially to protect the high value merchandise with a smart, elegant, corporate looking folding door system which would complement the prestigious Ferrari brand image without costing a fortune.
The technical requirements demanded a closure that could span a multi-curved 44 metre wide retail frontage at 3m in height which folded back to occupy a minimum amount of storage space when unlocked and opened during trading hours. And further to provide maximum visual display of the Ferraris during the limited times the shop remains closed.
ATDC’s FC1 wide panel folding door easily satisfied and even surpassed all these requirements. The 300mm wide panel door was installed with its heavy duty top track , heavy duty industrial grade top roller wheels and interlocking heavy duty hinges providing a low friction, easy operation despite the expansive size of the door. And by utilizing multiple intermediate keyed alike up/down locking mechanisms a seamless lock up is achieved without the need for any cumbersome removable mullions nor any floor tracking. The folding doors at the Ferrari showroom are finished in a professional natural anodised finish which is standard for these doors although a full range of powdercoated options are available on request from the Dulux Range of powdercoated finishes.
